Art community supports the Thunder.
The nation has seen the spectacular support Oklahoma City has given the Thunder. Their support is evident in the bearded buildings, hand painted thunder clouds and lightning bolts on windows, and the fans sporting their t-shirts on game days. Oklahoma City’s growing creative community is to thank for most of the Thunder-wear you see out there. It is great to see the art community using their talents to bring this city together. We went out on game day of game 2 of the finals to take some photos, and what we found was moving. We intended to get some pictures of local shops showcasing their own Thunder-wear, but we did not expect to see that most places were sold out. And if they weren’t sold out there was a line from the cash register to the door. You could feel the love and support, and it was moving. One shop owner told us they simply cannot keep up with the demand.
